Palawan Philippines is the country's last ecological frontier. With its abundant resources, pristine beaches, stunning cliffs and majestic landscapes, Palawan has drawn many local and foreign visitors to its coast. Recently, the Palawan Puerto Princesa Underground River has been nominated for the 7 Wonders of Nature.

Palawan also has a rich marine life. Many animals and plants endemic to the country thrive in Palawan. Thus, UNESCO has declared certain areas in Palawan as World Heritage Sites. Unfortunately, the current provincial government plans to allow mining in this island paradise. This would consequently upset the ecological balance and natural beauty of Palawan. I thus invite everyone to say "No to Mining in Palawan!" and "Yes to Sustainable Eco-Tourism." Please support this cause by signing this online petition (click on the link).
