Did you know that the Philippines has its own Walk of Fame? If you're traveling to Metro Manila, consider dropping by Libis, Quezon City to see the names of the country's celebrities immortalized in brass stars on the walkways of Eastwood City.

The Eastwood City Walk of Fame started in 2005. It commemorates the achievements of celebrities in the Philippines' entertainment industry. The recognition is given to celebrities in film, television, music, and sports. Last 2010, the Walk of Fame Philippines marked its fifth anniversary with a special ceremony and for the first time, it recognized personalities in the news and broadcast industry. For those who wish to witness the unveiling of stars for the Walk of Fame, the event happens every December 1. For more photos, just click on this link.

Getting to Eastwood City:
From Ninoy Aquino International Airport, go to Andrews Avenue then cross the South Super Highway. Take C5 and follow the main highway to E. Rodriguez Avenue, Barangay Bagumbayan then turn right to Eastwood Avenue. Nearest landmark is a Citibank building and a Honda car shop.

ReplyDeletemukhang hindi naman deserving ang ibang showbiz personalities... yung iba naman, too early para sa ganoong recognition. Korek ka Rain at marami talagang mga deserving personalities ang dapat bigyan ng recognition
