My Top 5 Travel Wishes Now that Bin Laden's Dead

If you're from another planet, this is Bin Laden.
With U.S. President Obama confirming the death of  Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, let me list down some of the things that would make us travelers really happy. I know it's too early to say how the demise of Bin Laden, whom the American President called as the "Mass Murderer of Muslims", would affect the United States and the rest of world, but I just wish, oh I dearly wish that starting tomorrow (or okay, maybe next week if that's too soon)....

Wish #1   Cabin crew will be less paranoid when a traveler brings out his/her phone while on the plane (except if its Donald Trump or Sarah Palin...lol!)

Wish #2. The U.S. Immigration will be kinder to visa applicants from countries in Asia (so that we can join the celebrations at Ground Zero).

Wish #3. The U.S. will stop harassing travelers with Muslim-sounding names or anyone who looks like they were from Pakistan, Afghanistan, or whatever country  Bin Laden was supposed to be staying in...

Wish #4.  Airport authorities will not let us take our shoes or sandals off anymore during inspection. (Such a hassle. And the germs! The germs!)

And finally....
Wish #5 Airports will FINALLY get rid of those body scanners. (Woot! Woot!)

I know, I know... US President Obama said that we still need to be vigilant. At the same time, there's no guarantee that the Al Qaeda will stop terrorizing after their founder's death. But a girl can wish, right?

Anyway, here's a toast to world peace and more good news!
